As he explains in his preface, he has
gathered his material from sources in five languages:
Russian, English, German, Finnish, and Estonian.
Even those who do not know Estonian should
however look at the Estonian versions given, since many
of them contain punch lines in Russian (note: the Estonian
letter o with tilde renders the Russian vowel bl).
